1. The Academic Word Counter
The House of Wisdom Academic Word Counter processes your text and documents entirely locally within your web browser. We do not upload, transmit, or store the text you paste or the `.docx` / `.pdf` files you drop into the Draft Editor. Your academic drafts remain 100% private to your device.
2. Open Archives Uploads
When you choose to upload a document to the Open Archives to share with the community, that file is transmitted to our server infrastructure. By initiating an upload, you grant us permission to store and distribute that file publicly. Do not upload files containing personal, confidential, or proprietary information.
3. Tracking and Analytics
We use standard analytics tools to understand basic traffic patterns (e.g., page views, geographic regions) to improve our library. We do not sell your personal data or browsing habits to third-party advertising networks.

1. Description of Services
House of Wisdom provides an open academic library for user-generated document sharing and an Academic Word Counter tool. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or academic validity of any documents hosted on our platform.
2. User Accounts
To upload documents, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. User-Generated Content (Uploads)
By uploading essays, research papers, textbooks, or any other documents ("Content") to the House of Wisdom, you agree to the following:
- Ownership & Right to Upload: You represent and warrant that you own the Content or have the necessary legal rights, licenses, and permissions to share it publicly.
- License to House of Wisdom: You retain all ownership rights to your Content. However, by uploading, you grant House of Wisdom a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, reproduce, and create derivative works (such as document previews or thumbnails) of your Content across the platform.
- Prohibited Content: You agree not to upload Content that infringes on any third party's copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights; contains malicious software, viruses, or harmful code; or promotes illegal acts, hate speech, or violates academic integrity policies (e.g., uploading stolen exam answer keys).
